Prof. was born on June 28, 1965 in Istanbul.Dr.After completing his undergraduate education at Istanbul University Faculty of Business Administration, Kerem Alkin continued his postgraduate education with a master's degree in Economics at Istanbul University Institute of Social Sciences.Alkin, who completed his doctorate at Istanbul University Social Sciences Institute, Department of Economics, in 1993, started his academic career as a research assistant at Istanbul University Faculty of Economics in 1987. He worked at Istanbul University Faculty of Economics between 1999 and 2001.Alkin, who served as the Head of the Money-Banking Department of the Institute of Social Sciences, was appointed as a professor to the staff of the Department of Economics at the Faculty of Commercial Sciences of Istanbul Commerce University in 2004.During his time as a full-time faculty member at Istanbul Commerce University, Kerem Alkin also served as the Director of the Social Sciences Institute, the Director of the Vocational School, and the Head of the Department of International Trade and Banking-Finance between 2001 and 2013.He served as the president of the Mobile Service Provider Businessmen Association, which was established in August 2009, until March 15, 2021. Prof.Dr.Kerem Alkin served as the Editor-in-Chief of Bloomberg HT Television Channel between 2010 and 2013, and as of April 16, 2013, he served as the Head of the Department of Economics at Istanbul Commerce University and continued his career as a full-time academic again. Prof. served as Rector of Nişantaşı University from March 11, 2014 to March 23, 2015.Dr.Kerem Alkin has been working as a faculty member at Istanbul Medipol University, Faculty of Business and Management Sciences since March 26, 2015.Prof.Dr.Kerem Alkin served as the Secretary General of the Turkish Exporters Assembly between the end of 2018 and the first quarter of 2020;Then, he returned to his position at Istanbul Medipol University.Kerem Alkin currently serves as the President of the Renewable Energy Research Association and the Secretary General of the International Competition Research Association.Ambassador Prof.Dr.Kerem Alkin took over the position of Permanent Representative of Türkiye to the OECD on March 15, 2021.
