He completed his undergraduate education at Başkent University, Department of Political Science and International Relations.He graduated from the Middle East Technical University Political Science and Public Administration master's program in 2008 and the Military Academy International Security and Terrorism doctoral program in 2015.Assoc.Dr.Bilgin has been working at Başkent University Faculty of Communication since 2016 and continues his studies.He has studies on war and peace studies, security and the relationship between international system and strategy.He also works as a researcher in projects funded by the European Union (EU).In addition to his academic studies, he continues his consultancy activities within various strategy centers, especially the Capital Strategic Research Association (SAM).
