Oğuz Göksu was born in Istanbul in December 1989.He completed Istanbul University Faculty of Communication, Department of Public Relations and Publicity and Department of Radio, Television and Cinema together in 2012, making a double major and also received pedagogical formation training during this period.Göksu, who started his academic career as a Research Assistant at Gaziantep University in September 2012, continued his studies at Istanbul University Faculty of Communication between 2013 and 2016.He completed his master's degree at Istanbul University in June 2014 with his thesis titled "The Role of Political Culture in Political Communication Practices".This thesis was awarded 2nd place in the thesis category at the 4th Social Sciences Incentive Competition in 2015.Subsequently, in January 2018, he completed his doctorate at Istanbul University with his thesis titled The Leader Phenomenon in the Construction of Political Power: An Examination of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in the Context of Leader Typologies.At Gaziantep University in January 2019, Dr.LecturerGöksu, who was appointed as a member, was entitled to receive the title of Associate Professor in the field of Communication Studies in June 2020. His areas of study are;political communication and political leadership, public diplomacy, perception management, new media and sports communication. Göksu, whose articles on political communication were published in Star newspaper Açık Görüş, The Brand Age and Jargon magazines, has worked as a national and international academic for more than 70 years and took part in 3 projects, 1 of which was international. He worked as the Gaziantep provincial representative of KONDA Research and Consultancy Company in the period of January 2018-2020.Later, between 2020 and 2022, he taught at Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University Faculty of Communication as a guest lecturer, and he simultaneously served at the Presidency's Directorate of Communications in the period covering 2019-2021. He is the editor of the scientific, peer-reviewed journal of the Directorate of Communications, Communication and Diplomacy.He was appointed as a member of the TRT Board of Directors in July 2021.He has been a member of the Supervisory Board of the Ankara Branch of the Writers' Union of Türkiye since January 2022. Göksu, who is married and the father of two children, speaks English fluently.
