Erkul, who started his career as a City Guide Reporter at Türkport Elektronik Yayıncılık ve İletişim A.Ş., Turkey's first web and media portal, in 1999, continued his career as an academician at Hacettepe University Department of Political Science and Public Administration in 2003. In 2005, he founded the e-government information portal www.dijitaldevlet.net, which is Turkey's first IT portal, and the international website he founded in February 2008.It has been deemed worthy of many awards in the field of e-government in Türkiye, Europe and America with its e-government portal www.digital-goverment.net. It was established as a result of a project at Harvard University as a doctoral scholar in the 2008-2009 academic years and was founded by Prof.He worked at the National Center For Digital Government, which operates under the directorship of Jane Fountain. Erkul, who continued his academic studies on Public Policies, Entrepreneurship and e-Government at the University of Massachusetts in 2009, participated in the Economic Development Program for Innovation at Harvard University John F. Kennedy School of Public Administration in June 2013. Prof.During the program chaired by Calestous Juma, he worked on public policies, innovation and entrepreneurship. Erkul completed his doctorate at Ankara University, Faculty of Political Sciences, Department of Political Science and Public Administration, Department of Management Sciences. He currently serves as the TBD Representative at the European Council of Professional Informatics Associations, headquartered in Brussels, and is a member of the Turkish-American Scientists Association (TASSA). Between 2010 and 2013, he served as Microsoft Turkey Public Affairs, Academic Programs and Social Responsibility Programs Director, and between 2013 and 2014, he served as Microsoft planning director responsible for 79 countries in the Middle East Africa Region. Between 2014 and 2018, he also served as Samsung Turkey Public Sector & Corporate Relations Director and country spokesperson.R. Erdem ERKUL served as Deputy General Manager of Microsoft Türkiye Public Sector and Investments between July 2018 and November 2020.He co-founded the Cerebrum Tech company in 2021.He has written articles in reputable business and technology magazines such as Harvard Business Review.He is one of the speakers at the TEDx conference.
