İsmail Hakkı Polat, who graduated from METU Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department in 1989, worked as an engineer and manager in telecom companies such as Siemens, Nortel-Netaş, Ericsson and Turkcell between 1989 and 2004.Polat, who started teaching new media courses at Kadir Has University in 2004, also took part in the establishment of Türkiye's first New Media Department, which was established in 2009.At the same time, Polat was the leader of the "Mobile Lesson" project, Turkey's first tablet-based university distance education course, developed with the support of Vodafone Turkey and implemented in 2013-14, and presented the experiences and findings obtained during the project process as an academic paper at the World Mobile Education Congress.Polat, who has been a consultant from time to time for the BBC Media Action organization on the preparation of New Media course curricula at BakuSlav and State Universities, has also prepared online training content titled "Mobile Journalism" for the NewYork Open School of Journalism. Since 2014, Polat carried out the establishment of the iNEO Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center within Kadir Has University and served as the director of the unit.Established during this period, Kadir Has Technology Transfer Office was also entitled to receive support as one of the 9 universities among the 20 universities that applied within the scope of TÜBİTAK's 1601 Support Program for Capacity Increasing in the Fields of Innovation and Entrepreneurship call.In addition, Polat, who is the founding president of the Digital Transformation Association established in 2015, also carried out Digital Transformation events under titles such as Cryptocurrency and Industry 4.0 during his presidency.In addition, Polat took part as a project consultant, mentor or trainer in the Digital Transformation processes of institutions and organizations from different sectors such as Aras Kargo, Allianz Sigorta, Güral Holding, Vodafone Turkey, GSK Turkey, PepsiCo, Marmara Municipalities Union, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, Turkish Court of Accounts. Polat, who has been working in the fields of Cryptocurrencies and Blockchain since 2013, has been working in these fields since 2018.He started teaching one of the first university courses in Türkiye.Polat shares his views on Cryptocurrencies and Blockchain concepts and trends with the public as a speaker or panelist at events such as World Cryptocurrency and Blockchain Summit 2018, Blockchain2020, TÜBİTAK Blockchain Workshop and in the mainstream media.
