Prof.Dr.Abdülkadir Varoğlu graduated from the Military Academy as an artillery officer in 1979 with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, a master's degree in Business Administration from the Middle East Technical University in 1985, and a PhD in Management from Ankara University Faculty of Political Sciences in 1992.Between 1984 and 2004, he served as an instructor at the Military Academy, Head of the Management-Leadership Laboratory, Head of the System Management Sciences Department, Head of the Academic Advisory and Training Center, and Founding Director of the Defense Sciences Institute.He worked as a Human Resources Specialist at the Canadian Ministry of Defense for one and a half years. He gave part-time lectures at METU, Ankara University Faculty of Political Sciences, Yeditepe University Business Administration Departments, TODAİE, National Security Academy, Ministry of National Defense SATEM, War Academies (Land, Sea, Air), BİOEM, Counter-Terrorism Center of Excellence, Germany NATO School.He worked as a delegate and chairman in the NATO Training Group Individual Training working group.At the end of 2004, he retired from the Armed Forces as a Colonel with the degree of Associate Professor. Currently, Prof. is working as a faculty member at Başkent University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences.Varoğlu served as Head of the Department of Business Administration, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Deputy Director of the Institute of Social Sciences, and the University's International Relations, Academic Evaluation Coordinator, and Director of the Strategic Research Center.He has been the Vice Rector of the University for the last seven years.He has national and international articles and published books on Strategic Management, Leadership, Negotiation, International Management, Management of International Military Operations and Military Sociology.
