Assoc.Dr.Aysu Kes Erkul completed her undergraduate education in Sociology at METU and the University of Oklahoma, USA.Having completed his master's degree in METU Urban Policy and Local Governments program, Dr.Aysu Kes Erkul also has a master's degree in Human Resources Development in Education from the same university. She completed her doctorate in Urban Sociology.He completed his doctoral thesis at the Sociology Department of the University of Massachusetts (UMASS – Amherst), where he examined different sociological factors in housing preference.Dr. continued his postdoctoral education in the Department of Urban Studies and Planning at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).Aysu Kes Erkul conducted research on the 'neighbourhood effect' at this university. Smart Cities, Technology, Society and City Relationship, Urban Transformation, Urban Culture, Urban Poverty, Historical Cities, etc.Assoc. Prof. has national and international studies and academic publications on various subjects.Dr.Aysu Kes Erkul has given many conferences and seminars on these subjects in Turkey and in different countries of the world. Kes-Erkul, who was awarded the title of Associate Professor in 2017, left her position as a faculty member at Hacettepe University in 2022 and started working as the Smart Cities and Project Leader of Cerebrum Tech.Aysu Kes-Erkul, who has been involved in many international projects, has recently published publications examining the effects of digitalization on working life and consumer society. Assoc.Dr.Aysu Kes Erkul also continues to give lectures in the Political Science, Sociology, Public Administration and International Relations departments of various universities.
